The entrance to the £2.5m St. Andrew's House project

Property consultancy Millson Associates completes £2.5m care facility project

Millson Associates, the multi-disciplinary property consultancy based in Manchester, has completed work on a £2.5m care facility.

The firm, which also has an office in London, carried out the project for Nottingham-based Gedling Homes and Nottinghamshire County Council, refurbishing the St. Andrew’s House bedsit block to create 32 apartments.

Discussing the project, Millson Associates’ founder, Philip Millson, said: “The quality of and increasing demand for extra care housing provision in the UK continues to be an issue and we are proud to have worked with forward-thinking partners Gedling Homes and Nottinghamshire County Council.

“Gedling Homes have an ambitious program to provide the best facilities to meet the needs of modern day residents. St. Andrew’s House is a great example of how outdated buildings can be re-used rather than be demolished.”

Millson Associates, which operates from Kennedy Street in Manchester city centre, has previously worked on a number of residential facilities across the North West.

A spokesperson of Davlyn Construction, the contractors behind the refurb, commented: “We were delighted to work with the Millson design team, the client and of course the end user on this development which is now a fantastic example of a contemporary extra care facility.”
