Nespresso brewing up a storm at Bluewater
Land Securities has today announced that Nespresso, the luxury coffee and espresso brand, is to open a boutique at Bluewater, Kent.
The store will be the first of its kind in the South East and one of only a handful in the UK.
The 3,000 sq ft store is located on Bluewater’s Upper Guildhall, adjacent to Apple, White Stuff and The White Company, and opens in October.
The Bluewater Nespresso will introduce a new store design for the brand and will showcase the 23 ‘Grand Cru’ blends, named after the term given to fine wine regions in France.
The store will also include tasting areas and the full range of Nespresso products. The new concept will be implemented at future Nespresso stores following its debut at Bluewater.
Commenting on the news, Russell Loveland, Portfolio Director at Land Securities, said: “Nespresso joins a growing number of premium brands, including Jo Malone, Mont Blanc and Breitling, in selecting Bluewater to create an exciting new store.
“That the Nespresso Boutique also heralds the launch of a new concept, which is consistent with our focus on creating a series of statement stores, is further reinforcement of Bluewater’s status as the destination of choice for international brands seeking a significant presence in the UK.”
In the last six months, Bluewater has added significantly to its retail offer, including new stores for Breitling and Hackett London, the launch of a new concept store for schuh, and the upsizing of Next into a 44,000 sq ft regional flagship.
