North East entrepreneur taps into Barclays funding for bathroom venture
North East serial entrepreneur Andrew Simpson has unveiled further expansion plans of his recently launched business start-up Savisto Limited thanks to financial support from Barclays.
Savisto Limited, which headquartered at Sadler Forster Way, Teesside Industrial Estate, Stockton-On-Tees, specialises in premium bathroom products including bathroom suites, free standing baths, toilets, accessories and all the fixture and fittings required to complete a brand new suite.
Andrew said the funding from Barclays has enabled the company to expand its range and import high-end products, handpicked from leading brands.
Andrew Simpson, Managing Director, Savisto Limited said: “We’re already trading well with PJA Distribution so it seemed like a great idea to adopt the same trading principles for the new bathroom supply business.
“Bathrooms shouldn’t be an after-thought - more of a haven and a chill out zone. I decided that whatever the size of your budget you should have access to quality products at affordable prices and by cutting out the middleman we’ve been able to deliver just that.”
Savisto Limited now employs ten people locally and expects turnover to increase to £5m over the next two years.
Mike Wicks, Senior Business Banking Manager at Barclays put together the funding package for the deal and said: “Working with Andrew is very exciting and he clearly has the vision and the contacts to import great products.
“We’ve been able to help the new business with a suite of products enabling Andrew and the team to trade overseas and purchase an innovative selection of stock for his customers. It’s great to see a start-up business growing so rapidly and creating jobs and growth for the local economy.”
