Online designer furniture retailer opens Liverpool showroom

Made.com, a UK-based online retailer of designer furniture and home accessories, is to open a new 4,000 sq ft (372 sq m) North West showroom in the Metquarter precinct in Liverpool.

The company sells online only, connecting customers directly with manufacturers. Currently operating showrooms in London’s Soho and Leeds, Made.com says it is plans open the showroom to meet demand from a growing customer base in the North West.

Visitors to the showroom will have access to interactive technologies including CloudTags, where customers can access all product information using a simple tablet device. The showroom is scheduled to open in mid September 2015.

Metquarter already offers brands such as MAC, Hugo Boss, Illamasqua, Miss Francesca Couture, Jo Malone, A|X Armani Exchange, All Saints, Kurt Geiger, LK Bennett, Carluccio’s, Links of London, Mococo, Jack Wills and Diesel.

“The showroom will give the centre and its customers a fantastic new lifestyle option and is a perfect example of the integration of bricks and clicks in a modern shopping environment.”

“The new site allows us to do this – it’s a cost effective partnership with the centre, meaning there are no big high street costs but we’re alongside great brands such as Hugo Boss and Jo Malone.

“We receive approximately 700,000 website visits from Liverpool and the surrounding area per year so Metquarter is a good opportunity for us in the area.”
