Sixth Successful Year for Risk Management Forum

A must in the risk analysis conference calendar, this September will see the sixth annual conference held by Corporate Risk Associates – the UK’s largest independent risk management consultancy – at the Ardencote Manor Hotel, Warwick on the 16th and 17th of September.

The event titled ‘Risk Analysis in an Uncertain World’ is the industry’s largest event of its type and is expected to gather attendees from across the globe. Here they will hear from industry leaders on topical Risk Analysis and Human Factors issues as well as from the CRA management team on key industry subject matters.

The event will be chaired by CEO of CRA and its founder, Jasbir Sidhu with panel discussions expected to focus on latest developments in Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA) and current challenges for Human Reliability Analysis (HRA).

It has also been confirmed that speakers from across the globe will be attending the event. Presenters include industry leading specialists from the USA, UK Academia and UK Industry. Presentations will cover topical risk issues, including complex safety assessments with examples from safety critical industries. Speaking about the event Jasbir said: “This is very much seen as a must attend event in the risk management industry, and I don’t say that simply because we host it. For many years experts from across the sector wanted an event such as this where specialists could come together, share best practice and transfer knowledge. The fact that this event is now in its sixth successful year and continues to grow in numbers year on year is a real testament to its importance and the quality of its content.”

It is expected more than 150 attendees will pass through the two-day conference with experts coming together from across the risk management, human factors and safety specialisms.

Speaking about the importance of the event, Andrew Buchan, President of the Safety and Reliability Society (SaRS), a former event speaker in 2014 and a confirmed presenter for this year, said “It is very important that industry has something of this nature where risk professionals from across the world can come together in one place to share knowledge, ask questions, hear the latest developments and network to aid their on-going delivery. It really is a valuable part of continual professional development.”
