Millennium Hotels & Resorts acquires Beatles inspired hotel

Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) has completed its acquisition of a Beatles inspired hotel located in the heart of Liverpool’s increasingly popular Cavern Quarter.

Hard Days Night Hotel, situated on the city’s North John Street, will now become MHR’s 24th property within the UK and Europe; adding to the diversity of the hotel group, which operates a dynamic and impressive worldwide portfolio.

Since its establishment in 2008, the hotel has notably become a destination of choice for both international and domestic leisure and corporate travellers.

Housed in the Grade II listed Central Buildings, located within close proximity to the iconic Cavern Club where The Beatles performed more than 290 times, Hard Days Night Hotel boasts 110 guest rooms and is renowned for its impressive interior and originality.

CEO of Millennium Hotels and Resorts Aloysius Lee said: “Liverpool is a leading tourist destination that continues to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors annually on a mass global scale. Having been crowned Capital of Culture in 2008, the city is twinned culturally and economically with Shanghai and is home to the world famous Liverpool Football Club.

“It continues to maintain its prominent stance by investing in an array of forward-thinking regeneration projects, while firmly retaining its Beatles legacy. Being the only one of its kind, Hard Days Night Hotel offers a Beatles experience like no-other and we are confident that our guests, particularly from countries including China, USA, Canada and Europe, will be excited by the choice of this latest acquisition. Furthermore, the ’Fab Four’ and Liverpool are very popular to both the North American and Asian markets.

“We are thrilled to welcome Hard Days Night Hotel and more than 150 team members into the MHR global family.“

General Manager of Hard Days Night Hotel Mike Dewey added: “We are delighted that Millennium Hotels and Resorts have acquired the hotel, as their ethos and passion for genuine hospitality fits hand in hand with what we have successfully delivered during the past seven years; coupled with the benefits that being part of a global family now affords our staff an exciting career progression with worldwide opportunities.

“Hard Days Night Hotel is a first class hotel that continues to exceed guests’ expectations and we look forward to widening our global reputation by maximising the distribution channels effectively run by MHR and taking the property to the next level.“
