New General Manager for Metsec Cable Management
Leading Black Country cold roll forming specialist, voestalpine Metsec plc, has appointed a new General Manager for its Cable Management Division to help support and drive its continuing growth in the industry.
Richard Allen took up the position on the 1st of July 2015, in addition to his current role as Marketing and Business Development Director at Metsec, to ensure that the division’s product portfolio remains at the forefront of the industry.
Richard commented: “Our Cable Management Division is currently performing impressively, and I’m delighted to be joining this team, where we will continue the growth of our cable management products, which include metal framing and containment products for the mechanical and electrical services industry.
“At Metsec we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and the service that we provide our customers. Our Cable Management products are already widely used within the industry in a multitude of applications across many sectors including some high profile buildings such as the Shard in London, Canary Warf underground station and Drax power station.”
The Cable Management Division is focused on four key areas: Metal Framing Systems, Cable Ladder Systems, Cable Tray Systems and Cable Trunking Systems.
Prior to joining Metsec, Richard held positions at Tata Steel, the global steel company, Hoerbiger-Origa, a pneumatics and automation specialist, and Amada, the international manufacturer of sheet metal working machines, tools and software. Richard also has his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of South Wales.
