Cardiff business boosts its management team

A Cardiff company has boosted its expertise with the appointment of two senior managers.

Matt Walters, from Cardiff, and Andrew Fenwick, from Swansea, are the new aftersales and sales manager, respectively, at Sinclair Van Centre Cardiff.

The duo bring more than 32 years of automotive experience with the aim of growing the Volkswagen commercial vehicle’s presence in the Cardiff area.

Matt is no stranger to the Wharf Road East business having embarked on a three year apprenticeship at the site 15 years ago. The 31-year-old has dedicated his entire working life to the commercial vehicle brand and was awarded a Volkswagen Gold Pin, only presented to an elite group of individuals every year, in recognition of his exceptional service and loyalty.

Having worked his way up the career ladder, Matt has a clear understanding of the van centre’s aftersales needs and is delighted to be charge of the department.

He said: “I really feel I am in the job I have always wanted, at the ideal dealership. I always wanted a career in the motor trade and the support from the Sinclair Group has really helped to make this a reality.

“Over the years I feel I have gained a clear understanding of the business operations and intend to use this knowledge to improve efficiency to ultimately strengthen our customer service.”

New sales manager, Andrew, joined the Sinclair Group after 17 years of working with a number of prestigious manufacturers. The 45-year-old is aiming to deploy his expertise to help forge new customer relationships and strengthen the existing customer base.

He said: “I am delighted to be working with such a respected brand. It is an exciting challenge to introduce my retail experience to the commercial vehicle market.

“After eight years in the Royal Navy I am very process driven. The Cardiff business has huge potential so my team will be focused on working in partnership with van owners to establish their needs and find them the best solution.”
