Buoyant Construction Industry Fuels Growth at Mobile Mini
Mobile Mini, a leading provider of portable accommodation and secure storage solutions with its UK headquarters in Stockton on Tees, has announced a 14.6% increase in revenue for the first half of 2015, compared to the same period last year.
The company, which employs a 376 strong UK workforce at its headquarters in Stockton on Tees and has sixteen depots across the country, from Glasgow to Gravesend (including local depots at Sunderland and Middlesbrough), saw turnover increase to £28.2m for the period January to June 2015.
The construction industry is just one sector to which Mobile Mini attributes its recent growth, with its high quality fleet of containers and accommodation units used as on-site offices and toilet blocks by large construction companies such as Bugler Developments and Esh Group. Other sectors fuelling growth include retail and education, with many using Mobile Mini’s storage containers to store surplus stock and equipment.
Although all regions of the UK are performing well, Mobile Mini has seen particularly strong growth in Scotland, Wales and the Midlands.
Chris Morgan, Managing Director, Mobile Mini UK commented: “The investment we’ve made in the quality of our almost 35,000 strong fleet of portable accommodation and storage units, as well as our industry-leading customer service standards, have had a positive impact on our performance so far this year.
“We are continuing to invest in our fleet of containers, portable offices and toilets, as well as other areas such as staff training, health and safety, customer service and our extensive fleet of delivery vehicles. This will allow us to continue to grow our existing markets, especially in the construction industry, and seek out new markets and uses for our containers.”
