Dreamscape solves Warrington building supplies firm's automation dilemma

Centralpoint Building Supplies in Warrington has appointed local web design agency Dreamscape Design to help better manage stock, sales and shipping processes at the firm.

With hundreds of transactions a day Centralpoint Building Supplies needed a more robust way of tracking and managing business activity and the agency has recommended a number of web-based solutions to tackle the issues.

The first is to integrate financial management software Sage50 onto Centralpoint’s website which will immediately help automate stock management and sales administration.

The agency is also looking to automate the shipping and delivery process so that when an order is received the preferred courier is automatically notified and a bar code issued. Centralpoint would then simply print off the bar code and place on the packing ready for the courier to pick up.

Joanna Garner, MD of Centralpoint Building Supplies said the meeting with Dreamscape had been a real eye opener. “We did not realise how much could be automated through our website. We now know that we can track orders right through to delivery and have much more control over everything. It will make a massive difference to how we run the business. We are looking forward to working with Dreamscape on it.”

Today’s software options, properly integrated, can take all the headaches away from busy supply operations and really move companies on.
