Macclesfield firm HCSS Education in line for record-breaking year
A provider of education finance software in Cheshire is set to create dozens of jobs after announcing a 48% rise in its turnover.
Macclesfield-based HCSS Education has seen its turnover rise to £3.4m, a year-on-year increase of £1.1m, while pre-tax profits are expected to increase by more than 139% to £1.2m.
The firm is now planning to invest in its workforce by creating a number of new jobs, with positions such as test analyst, commercial operations director and account manager set to be announced. Four new members of staff have been hired in recent months, and HCSS Education wants to grow its team from 64 to 100 over the next 12 months.
CEO Howard Jackson said: “We’re experiencing a period of substantial strategic growth and based on this year’s figures we’re predicting that 2015/16 will be a record-breaking year for us.
“Over the last few years, HCSS Education has transformed into a hugely successful business, delivering innovative products and services to the market and this is look set to continue, along with new client wins and a big recruitment drive.”
He added: “Our goal now is to invest in more offerings for the education sector to ensure that schools, academies and local authorities have the tools, support and guidance they need to ensure effective financial management.”
HCSS Education has put the growth down to investment in software, training and consultancy services. Looking ahead, the firm is expecting its turnover to hit £4.5m in 2015/16 and £7.2m the year after.
