Ashington equipment supplier rebrands following co-owner’s tragic death
Packaging equipment supplier GSP (UK), based in Ashington, has been rebranded as Advance Flow Pack.
The company, which has been installing flow wrapping and shrink wrapping equipment throughout the UK for over 10 years, made the decision following the tragic death of co-owner Kevin Donnelly.
Managing Director David Crook commented: “We talked long and hard about how to move forward but in the end it felt right to change our name. Our core team remains the same, with all the expertise that represents.”
Flow wrapping equipment is used extensively in bakeries, food processing plants and other industries and Advance Flow Pack’s machines, which are made to the client’s specification, can wrap hundreds of items per minute. The company lists food industry giants Wincanton-Nestle, Greencore and Symingtons among its customers.
Advance Flow Pack is also expanding its product offer. As well as selling a range of flow wrapping equipment manufactured in Italy, it is introducing a new entry-level range under the Wolf Pack brand. This will appeal particularly to small manufacturers looking to automate some of their processes for the first time.
David added: “We pride ourselves on working closely with customers to design the optimum solution for their needs.
“With Wolf Pack we will be able to offer products across the board from simple systems to the most sophisticated flow wrapping solutions.
“We recently employed a new Sales Manager, who will be focusing on the Wolf Pack range, and if the business grows as expected will be looking to take on additional staff in the very near future.”
