Kendal-based construction firm reports £30m in contract wins
Esh Border Construction has reported securing contracts in the social housing sector worth £30m.
Part of Cumbria-based Esh Group, which has offices in Kendal, Carlisle, Livingston and Earlston, the company has completed a number of projects across the North in recent months, including a contract for 27 bungalows in Whitehaven and nine flats in Preston for Home Group.
The firm’s regional managing director, Simon Phillips, said: “Our strong reputation for successful delivery of both new build and refurbishment projects has resulted in some £30m of social housing projects, and we aim to continue growing that further, simultaneously enhancing geographical coverage.
“In taking on these projects, we have utilised our significant experience across a broad spectrum of sectors, including education, retail, industrial, commercial, leisure, public, healthcare and historic buildings.”
He added: “Earlier in the year, we underlined our commitment in Scotland with the opening of new offices in Livingston.”
Other contracts completed by Esh Border Construction in the Cumbria area include 27 new homes in Kendal and 43 houses and flats in Grange-over-Sands, both of which were undertaken for Two Castles Housing Association.
Last month, Esh Group reported a turnover for the year ending December 2014 of £277m.
