New clinic offers support to North East businesses
A new clinic being launched on Wearside will offer a range of personal development support to businesses and private clients, including counselling, coaching and anger and stress management.
The clinic, run by Houghton-le-Spring firm of specialist advisors Gedanken at its offices in the Evolve Centre, will offer employers a chance to provide support to key staff to help their personal and professional development.
GP-sponsored and private clients will also be able to benefit from the clinics, which are led by Gedanken’s Managing Director, David Cliff, who ran similar services across South Tyneside for more than a decade on behalf of the NHS.
The clinics will run on Saturday mornings, from October.
David said: “With almost 16 years of experience in delivering clinics in these important personal welfare areas for the NHS, Gedanken is now in a position to run them privately, offering a great opportunity for businesses.
“There is a greater inclination than ever before from businesses to support their staff with personal, as well as professional development. With the service we are offering, we can now do this at a time and with a speed of response that suits most businesses, keeping waiting times to a minimum. We can also, with the client’s permission, provide feedback, welfare reporting and guidance that keeps all parties informed.
“We also have a number of coaches and therapists, so we are able to best match clients with the people who will offer them support.”
