Ossett Brewery opens third Granary Wharf bar

Ossett Brewery will officially launch its third establishment in Leeds city centre on Friday 4th September.

The new venue, Archie’s Bar & Kitchen, is located directly underneath Leeds Railway Station within the iconic dark arches of Granary Wharf, and is only stone’s throw away from the Ossett Brewery establishments CANDLEBAR and The Hop.

This newest venue follows on from the successful launch of CANDLEBAR, which opened in April and brings Ossett’s total investment in Granary Wharf to over £1m.

The launch of Archie’s coincides with of the Leeds Station South Exit (LSSE) later this year, which will make the area even more accessible for the locals or people visiting Leeds.

Archie’s spans over two arches and is open all day, serving a mix of eat-in and take-out breakfast, weekend brunch and all day dinner options. Along with a wide range of beer, Archie’s also offers Calypso cocktails, spirits, premium coffee and fresh juices, including Ossett Brewery’s own beers.

The venue’s menu boasts an array of dishes that include Chicken wings with honey, five spice and lavender, Salt beef croquettes with spicy mayonnaise, and Lamb shoulder with smoked aubergine, as well as classics such as Fish and Chips, Barnsley Chop and Arnold Bennett Omelette.

Breakfast options include Buttermilk pancakes with banana, caramel sauce & mascarpone and a classic Archie’s All Day Fry.

As for the interior, Archie’s Bar & Kitchen comprises a mixture of materials including reclaimed wood, steel mesh, ceramics and natural stones. There is also washes of colour splashed around the venue along with finishing touches that include funfair mirrors, a sailing boat, deck chairs and a full-size 1974 VW campervan.
