Stockport-based refurb specialist revamps Altrincham property

North West refurbishment specialist FT Finley has completed a number of improvements at an Altrincham-based sheltered housing scheme.

The contractor, which operates from its base on Raleigh Street in Stockport, carried out the 30-week project to revamp Leverett Close for Trafford Housing Trust.

FT Finley’s managing director, Jay Finley, said: “It’s always a pleasure to undertake projects on our doorstep here in Greater Manchester and even more so when they’re as progressive as the enhancements that were carried out at Leverett Close.

“The transformation of the property has been exceptional and many of the residents have commented on how their accommodation now feels more homely.”

The work included the creation of a residents’ hair salon and an extension of the main entrance area, as well as refurbished bathroom and restroom facilities. New stairs and floors were also fitted.

The scheme manager at Trafford Housing Trust, Steve Swift, commented: “The Trust is committed to ensuring the external and internal areas of our sheltered schemes are of the highest standard.

“We want our residents to feel proud of where they live, and we thrilled to see the excellent work completed by FT Finley at Leverett Close.”

He added: “These changes were made as part of the Trust’s customer promise to upgrade its facilities to the standard of a modern, contemporary hotel.”
