IoD invites new members to sign up ahead of busy Autumn/Winter programme

The Institute of Directors’ North Wales branch is inviting small and medium businesses to join ahead of a busy events schedule over the autumn and winter months.

The organisation, which supports members through free business advice, a full training programme, research facilities and networking events, is in the final stages of planning its programme of events for the remainder of 2015.

The schedule will include two co-hosted events with the North Wales Business Club and the IoD’s annual Christmas event. Further events are also in the pipeline, with details to be announced shortly.

Helen Watson, chair of the IoD’s North Wales branch, is inviting business leaders to join the organisation to take advantage of its membership benefits.

She said: “With a busy schedule of events coming up alongside the numerous benefits of being an IoD member, there’s no better time than now to sign up.

“So far this year our members have heard from the National Trust’s Richard Williams at Bodysgallen Hall in Llandudno, Zip World’s Sean Taylor in Bethesda, and Gavin Jones from Airbus in Broughton.

“We have exciting plans for the second half of the year with further interesting speakers and events lined up, and you don’t need to be a company director to join the IoD. Senior managers are welcome from large public organisations to small family firms.

The IoD is the longest-standing organisation to serve and support business leaders, with more than 100 years of service in raising professional standards.
