Van Centre cooks up a breakfast for drivers
Breakfast is served for Suffolk van drivers after two local businesses have committed to dishing up free bacon butties to their customers.
Wolsey Van Centre, Ipswich, and Volkswagen Van Centre in Bury St Edmunds will be cooking up one of the country’s favourite sarnies to help fuel the county’s workers.
The morning treat will start from 7th September for 10 days and will officially mark the arrival of the eagerly awaited new Volkswagen Transporter and Caddy vans.
David Nichols, head of business for the two van centres’, said: “There is a lot of hunger to see the vans, with their many enhancements, before a deal is completely sealed so we felt a bacon butty will be the idea accompaniment to help feed this appetite.”
The distinctive sixth-generation Transporter boasts a sharper and more refined appearance with more efficient engines, a host of safety, comfort and convenience features and the widest range of engine, transmission and trim level options ever offered by Volkswagen.
The fourth-generation Caddy sets a new benchmark in its class for its safety and convenience innovations. New state-of-the-art technology and engine options are set to ensure the model continues the success of its predecessors.
David added: “This is a very exciting time for the businesses as well as the devoted Volkswagen commercial vehicle fans because we will also be launching a new Transporter Shuttle, Caravelle, Caddy Life and Maxi vehicles and are taking orders for the latest California campervan, with deliveries expected before the end of the year.
“We don’t know many people who can turn down a tasty treat so we are hope many van drivers will be tempted and take advantage of our bacon butty morning service.”
