Pop-up business clinic launching in Deansgate
A nationwide business support project is set to land in Deansgate, Manchester this week, offering free advice, workshops and networking opportunities for businesses in the city.
The pop-up clinic is a collaborative effort between business insurance firm Simply Business and Enterprise Nation, the SME network.
Kicking off on Monday (September 14), the week-long hub is one of a series of support clinics due to appear in towns and cities across Britain over the next 12 months, targeting sole traders and small enterprises looking to unlock growth.
The founder of Enterprise Nation, Emma Jones, said: “Research shows that businesses that take on board advice are more likely to succeed and grow.
“This series of workshops in the borough is designed to give resident entrepreneurs face-to-face guidance and support from experts who can help them reach their business goal.”
The initiative will be held at The Escalator in Central Working between 10am and 6pm, with the last day being September 18.
Simply Business’ head of marketing and communications commented: “Start-ups and micro-businesses are pivotal for the British economy and so often they don’t get the support they need.
“We fully support the mobile growth support clinics which will offer advice in key areas such as finance, marketing and sales. This is exactly the type of support small businesses need.”
The StartUp Britain campaign has reported that last year, Manchester came second in a list of UK cities outside London for new businesses being registered, with over 13k registrations recorded.
