Bolton firm to stage events at Wanderers ground with new concert business
Event management firm Taylor Lynn Corporation (TLC) is marking its 20th anniversary with the launch of a concert business.
Manchester-based TLC’s new sister company, TLC Concerts, will focus on staging shows at Bolton’s Macron Stadium, which is home to the Bolton Wanderers, and working alongside Bolton Whites Hotel to draw entertainers to the venue.
TLC’s managing director, Liz Taylor, said: “I am thrilled to be venturing into new pastures. I have been developing a range of new initiatives with the team at Bolton Whites Hotel and the staging of amazing concerts at the stadium, which the hotel is integrated into, seemed a natural and exciting progression.
“TLC has the business structure and contacts to make this happen, I have 30 years of experience under my belt and the team at the Hotel is raring to go!”
She added: “Bolton is home to some incredible acting, comedic and musical talent, so the concerts will need to offer the very best artists around to keep up the town’s tradition for quality entertainment.”
The firm is hoping to stage its first event in Autumn 2015.
Bolton Whites Hotel’s national business development manager, Carl D’Arcy, said: “The hotel and stadium have a strong history of hosting concerts of top pedigree having seen the likes of Coldplay, Oasis and Elton John take to the stage here.
“The move back into the music scene is an exciting time for us and we feel confident that running these in conjunction with Liz, and her unrivalled little black book of contacts, will certainly see Bolton compete with the city centre based concerts from across the UK.”
