Pickerings Lifts holds charity BBQ for staff
Stockton-based Pickerings Lifts, the UK’s largest independent lift maintenance and service provider, is underlining its commitment to the local community by holding a fundraising day in aid of Teesside charity, Stockton Lodge Care Home.
Taking place on Friday 4th September, the day saw Pickerings hold an afternoon ‘sausage sizzle’ for staff, along with a range of fun games and a tombola, all in the surroundings of the company’s garden.
Although it wasn’t perfect weather, staff really got into the swing of things, and helped raise a total of over £700 for the charity.
Ian Bowers, managing director at Pickerings Lifts, explains: “We’re committed to the community in which we operate, and we always look for ways to give something back, while also treating our staff to a bit of fun. The event was a huge success, and we hope the funds help Stockton Lodge continue to carry out their important work with the elderly.”
Stockton Lodge Care Home is a registered charity, based in a quiet residential area of Stockton. It is a purpose built, 48-bedded care home offering nursing and residential care for the elderly and vulnerable.
Pickerings Lift’s Stockton office is the headquarters for the firm’s national network of twelve regional offices which provide a range of service offerings, including, Lift Maintenance & Repair, Escalators, Loading Systems and Heating & Cooling Services.
