Muse Developments to submit plans for 100 apartments at Chester's City Place
Urban regeneration firm Muse Developments has revealed its intention to submit a reserved matters planning application for 100 canalside apartments at the City Place development in the center of Chester.
Set to be located on south-facing bank of the Shropshire Union Canal, on the site of the Lloyds parking area, the project will comprise 100,000 sq ft of space once complete.
Muse’s development director, Phil Mayall, said: “We have always planned to include a residential element to City Place so we are very pleased to be in the process of working up the plans for the council’s consideration.
“We have already received a number of unsolicited approaches from private rental sector investors to acquire the residential scheme, so we are very optimistic about the future of the project.”
The wider City Place scheme will eventually include restaurants, leisure facilities and offices.
Earlier this month, Bdaily reported that City Place could create up to 3,500 jobs in Chester by 2028.
