Stockdales of Yorkshire bringing premium beef cuts to Leeds city centre

Stockdales of Yorkshire is preparing to introduce Leeds revellers to its steak-centric menu with the opening of a new restaurant on South Parade this Friday.

With a 100 seat capacity, as well as a sociable bar area, Stockdales of Yorkshire is set to be at the forefront of the South Parade/Greek Street revival.

A private dining area seating up to 10 guests and a Chef’s table, which is suitable for corporate events or special occasions, will also be included.

The decor will be traditional and quintessentially British - with a modern twist.

The menu, which has been created in partnership with Anthony Flinn and Jonathan Elvin, will centre around prime cuts of beef aged for 28 days and seared over coal in the Jospur oven.

Stockdales of Yorkshire’s are hoping to attract meat lovers with its signature prime cuts of Wagyu beef. Originating from Japan, Wagyu beef is widely-regarded as the finest meat in the world, due to the intense marbling that helps give the meat its rich flavour and texture.

Diners can preview this alongside all other cuts displayed in the chilled meat cabinet on the ground floor.

As well as premium beef, the menu also features a diverse range of lighter options on offer such as gin cured salmon, duck egg and truffle soldiers and a chargrilled Caesar salad.

Yorkshire born head chef, Jonathan Elvin, has trained with the likes of Gordon Ramsey at Claridges and Mark Fosh in Palma de Mallorca, making him ideal to blend international cuisine with a distinctly local feel.

Rodney Prosper, Stockdales of Yorkshire’s manager, said: “We are very excited to be opening Stockdales of Yorkshire in Leeds next week. We’re proud to bring you a menu that is traditionally British with a twist and are certain the people of Leeds will love the friendly, dining experience we will be offering at Stockdales of Yorkshire.”
