Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival secures Arch as lead sponsor
Celebrating its 11th Festival this year with a new programme and vision as well as a new Festival Director – Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival has also managed to secure a major sponsorship deal worth 12k from The Northumberland Development Company: Arch. Owned by Northumberland County Council, Arch support development and regeneration through investments.
As lead sponsor of the festival this year (alongside the British Film Institute and Arts Council). Arch are sponsoring the opening night gala on Wednesday 23rd September – the screening of Sorrow and Joy, followed by an opening night party in the Henry Travers Studio at the Maltings Theatre and Cinema in Berwick.
Cllr Dave Ledger, Deputy Leader of Northumberland County Council says: “Arch are thrilled to be sponsoring the Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival 2015. It’s a fantastic celebration of international talent and we are delighted to be encouraging and supporting such a prestigious event.”
Peter Taylor, Director of the Festival said: “This very generous sponsorship from Arch is essential to Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival. It enables us to continue to host a fantastic programme of world premieres and world class artists’ installations unique to the Festival, as well as a critically acclaimed programme of new international cinema. The whole town of Berwick prospers during the festival with hotels and B&Bs at capacity, and together with Arch we hope to continue developing a Festival that really enriches the imaginations of visitors and local community alike.”
Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival runs 23rd – 27th September at The Maltings Theatre & Cinema, Berwick and other venues throughout the town.
