Dust extraction specialist acquires Escrick Business Park premises
North Yorkshire pneumatic conveying, materials handling and dust extraction firm APS UK Ltd has is continuing its expansion programme with the acquisition of new premises at Escrick Business Park.
Turnover has doubled since 2008 at APS, which services contracts throughout the UK as well as across the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
Sherri Odgen, the company’s director, stated that APS now expect to double turnover again by 2018 and create a number of new jobs covering project management, contracts and administration in the next six months as they move into their new base.
APS is investing a further £40k at the 1860 sq ft warehousing unit at S Harrison’s Escrick Business Park, which will house the company’s ducting and pipework spares and servicing operation and admin functions, currently located at Skipwith.
Formed in 1998, the company is now solely owned by Skipwith couple Adi and Sherrie Ogden.
Providing full turn-key solutions for pneumatic conveying, trim handling and dust extraction requirements across a wide variety of industries, APS also offers a comprehensive local exhaust ventilation testing service, helping to safeguard the health of workers across the UK.
With over 30 years’ experience in the industry, Adi Ogden, said: “At heart we are a Yorkshire business but our blue-chip client base is both nationwide and international. With a predominantly locally based workforce we needed bigger premises which were within easy commuting distance for all but which reflected the professionalism of the business we operate.
“Escrick Business Park, with its good links to the major road networks is ideal. It’s great to be located amongst so many successful companies on an attractive and thriving rural business park and it is the ideal location for the next phase of our planned expansion.”
Phil Hill of S Harrison’s added: “We’re delighted to welcome APS to Escrick Business Park. All of the warehousing units are now fully occupied but there are still a number of high spec office units available to rent or buy. We’ve recently launched a new ‘home above the office’ scheme at Escrick Business Park to help entrepreneurs expand their businesses.”
For the warehouse unit sale to APS, S Harrison was advised by Emma Warner at Langleys Solicitors. APS were advised by Kelly Buckle Fleming. Agents for Escrick Business Park are McBeath Property Consultancy.
