Liverpool water treatment firm Brodex expands with South East acquisition

Merseyside water treatment company Brodex Ltd has acquired Kent firm Bayly Environmental Services as part of its national expansion strategy.

The deal will see Liverpool-based Brodex oversee the running of Bayly’s operations in the South East, with sales and services operating from Bayly’s Dartford headquarters.

Brodex MD Geoff Shalders said of the acquisition: “Our aim is to provide a nationwide network of water treatment specialists, bringing us closer to our customers and prospects.

“The acquisition strengthens our existing footprint in the South East and the combined resources of the two companies will allow us to further develop our supplier partnerships in order for us to better service our expanding customer base in the area.”

He added: “Bayly Environmental Services has more than 25 years in delivering quality water management and through our commitment to investment and training we’ll also be continuing to support the customers they currently serve.”

The latest acquisition follows a strong period of trading for Formby-headquartered Brodex, which expanded earlier this year with a new Bristol office.

Bayly Environmental Service’s director, Ian Jones, commented: “Joining the Brodex family will provide Bayly with a wealth of expertise, technology and knowledge related to the water treatment sector, as well as access to an increased network of engineers and specialists.

“We’re confident that this will allow us to deliver the best possible service to our existing customers while also appealing to new clients looking to take advantage of the increased geographical reach we can offer.”
