Frontier PR announced as conference partner

Specialist agency to support November Northern Powerhouse event

Frontier PR has been unveiled as the public relations partner for the forthcoming Local Government Conference, The Future of the ‘Northern Powerhouse’: The Impact on Greater Manchester.

The event, organised and hosted by the University of Salford’s One CPD, will see leaders from business, academia and government gather to discuss the best ways to foster devolution and boost the economic growth that will make the Northern Powerhouse a reality.

An expert panel will include the Chief Executive of Manchester City Council, Sir Howard Bernstein and Sir Richard Leese, Leader of Manchester City Council.

They will be joined by the likes of Ian Palmer, Head of Modelling and Research at Transport for Manchester, Chris Fletcher, Policy and Marketing Director at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, and David Innes-Edwards, the Managing Director at Frontier Public Relations.

Manchester based specialist PR agency Frontier PR has been at the forefront of a range of issues linked to urban development – including working with clients in housing, sustainability, construction and smart infrastructure.

As PR partners, Frontier PR will be developing engaging and dynamic content – including live video streaming via social media on the day of the conference.

David Innes-Edwards explains: “For me the Northern Powerhouse is about challenging how we see ourselves – and being bold and brave in how we view the future of our great northern cities.

“In an increasingly urbanised world there are fundamental questions around how we can meet the growing demand for energy, housing, data and transport – whilst maintaining economic growth and quality of life.

“In my mind the Northern Powerhouse is about exploring how the North can come together as a sum of its parts and lead on a global level. What we need to discuss is in what areas do we lead on?”

David concludes: “Hopefully this conference will provide the perfect opportunity to do this. I’m very much looking forward to it.”

Dave Hall, Chief Operating Officer of One CPD comments, “We look forward to welcoming colleagues and partners from across the north to the conference. The day will provide a unique platform to discuss the challenges and opportunities the northern power house agenda presents for the region.”
