University website specialists secure further contracts

A NORTH East digital creative agency has secured the latest in a string of contracts with UK universities.

Roundhouse Digital, which has created sites for the universities of Newcastle, Sunderland, Bangor, Liverpool and Lancaster, has now been instructed to design sites for York St John University and Edinburgh’s Heriot-Watt.

The company is a subsidiary of Newcastle-based design agency The Roundhouse, one of the UK’s leading design and communications agencies and designers of brands and printed materials for universities, businesses and charities.

“Our work ranges from internal consultancy – ensuring the correct resource structures and workflows are in place – through to the design and technical coding of the websites.

Roundhouse Digital’s technology and design experts created the world’s first higher education responsive site, for Lancaster University.

“While responsive websites are common place in today’s mobile friendly world,” said Michael, “this intuitive approach four years ago allowed the University to lead the way in the digital market, showing real results in student applications and during clearing.”

In creating the site for York St John, Roundhouse Digital will work in partnership with Dublin-based content management system company TERMINALFOUR, which manages the sites of 250 of the world’s universities.

It is also a key sponsor of T4’s annual global higher education digital conference; the largest in Europe, which will be held in Dublin in November.

Roundhouse Digital has achieved international recognition for creating websites and digital solutions, not just for the higher education sector, but also for global institutions and blue chip companies.
