Leading new pension advisory service Pensionhelp launches

A NEW pension advisory service has launched in Manchester to help clients review their final salary pensions.

Pensionhelp, launched by John Stevenson, owner of Pareto Financial Planning and MD Mark Wilson will specialise in providing industry-leading advice on using new pension freedoms to review the value of final salary pensions and to give important specialist pension advice in other areas.

The company, based in St John Street, has already acquired two high profile contracts for the provision of advice to staff of a large public sector employer and to financial advisers of National advisory firm Group Plc, one of the UK’s leading national advisory firms.

Pensionhelp’s MD Mark Wilson, is an expert in this sector, with more than 20 years’ experience. As well as being a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, Mark is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and has acted as a senior examiner for the body – contributing to the writing of examination papers for several years.

Commenting on the launch, he said: “Pensionhelp is a one-of-a-kind advisory service. Many financial planners shy away from giving advice on final salary pensions, due to the expertise required to navigate this regulation-fraught area.

“However, our team of experts has the know-how to provide bespoke advice that adds real value, without falling foul of regulatory pitfalls.

“Pensionhelp’s unique proposition has seen immediate demand, as evidenced by our services being taken on by National advisory firm

“We’ve also negotiated referrer agreements with more than 500 IFAs, who are more than happy to refer clients to us for expert pension advice and another source of income for themselves.

“We are going to be concentrating on working with IFAs where we are able to offer specialist support to their clients on a fee-sharing basis.”

To help respond to the growing demand for its unique services, Pension Help is already expanding its team, taking on five new staff this month. Mark Barker and Kate Greely will be joining the team as Paraplanners, Annie Jeffries will be taking on an Adviser Support role, Terry Mullender will be coming on board as a Pensions Advisor while Kerry Wilson will be acting as Operations Manager at the firm.

Pensionhelp specialises in providing expert advice on final salary pension transfers, personal pension transfers and general retirement planning that’s tailored to the individual and addresses their circumstances and priorities.
