Tech maintenance firm SCS snaps up satellite installer
Installation and maintenance firm SCS Technologies has grown with the acquisition of a satellite installation firm in Northwich.
Warrington-based SCS bought Viewcomms for an undisclosed sum with the assistance of MC Vanguard, the corporate finance company, and Warrington law firm FDR Law.
The move, according to SCS founder and director Mike Jeffery, will allow SCS to expand its services and command a greater share of the market.
Mike commented: “We have spent more than two decades building SCS into the successful business it is today through organic growth.
“Acquisitions across the North West are a key part of our growth strategy and given their vast experience of the SME market, we sought the expertise of MC Vanguard to guide us through our latest acquisition.”
He added: “The acquisition of Viewcomms, which is a well-respected brand in the industry, will specifically help us develop in the field of satellite, home entertainment and digital aerial installations.”
The current owner and managing director of Viewcomms, Steve Bushell, will continue to work in the business.
Discussing the acquisition, he said: “It was crucial to us that we paired with a buyer who shared our ethos and who could develop the business in the right way.
“Viewcomms’ niche as a highly skilled aerial and satellite installer will thrive with the greater ballast of SCS Technologies.”
SCS Technologies provides the public and private sectors with multimedia solutions such as audio, video, TV and fibre systems.
The director of Liverpool based MC Vanguard, Robin Gower, said: “We have been working closely with the SCS Technologies ltd management team for a number of months to support their expansion and acquisition plan.
“It has been a fulfilling experience to collaborate with a dynamic team fixed on developing their brand and driving momentum.”
He added: “The acquisition route presents a real opportunity for ambitious businesses, like SCS Technologies ltd, who are looking to transform their operation.
“However, business sales are invariably complex and often drawn-out processes. This is where MC Vanguard can offer expert support to guide vendors through the process and ensure the transaction is completed professionally and efficiently.”
