JCT600 secures £200k commercial fleet contract with holiday company

JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions, the specialist leasing and fleet management division of Bradford-based JCT600, has secured a contract worth nearly £200k to supply 11 new vehicles to Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK, a self-catering holiday business and owners of Cumbrian Cottages and Yorkshire Cottages.

JCT600 won the supply contract for WVR UK’s first ever fleet of contract hire vans, having previously supplied the company’s cars.

Five Ford Transit Connect vans and six Ford Fiesta vans, all with Cumbrian Cottages and Yorkshire Cottages branding, were delivered to its head office in Earby, Lancashire.

The vehicles will be used by the company’s maintenance team which looks after its cottages in and around Windermere and Keswick in Cumbria and Grassington in Yorkshire. The vans were chosen specifically because of their compact size – providing the team with sufficient capacity to carry equipment, but being small enough for narrow, rural lanes.

The four year contract hire agreement provides the company with full maintenance, including tyres and breakdown cover.

JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions sales support manager Louise Sutton, said: “WVR UK has been a customer of JCT600 since 2009, but until now its commercial vehicles have always been owned outright. Moving the entire commercial fleet onto a contract hire agreement was a big change for them, so we made sure we were on hand to provide extra support for the team that would be using the vans.

“We drove all 11 vehicles to the site on one day, rather than using a transporter, and provided an induction and handover for all members of their maintenance team to ensure they fully understood what they could expect from the vehicles and how the JCT600 breakdown and maintenance service works.”

JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions is a stand-alone business within JCT600. It operates a fleet of 7,000 vehicles, predominantly serving SMEs, typically with fleets of 5-200 vehicles, supplying all brands of cars, vans and even mini buses throughout the UK from the South East to Scotland. Based at Apperley Bridge, it employs 43 staff.

With its head office in Bradford, the JCT600 group is a family business with 50 dealerships selling 18 of the world’s most respected brands such as Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW/MINI, Ferrari, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Vauxhall and Volkswagen. The group now employs a workforce of 2,000 people.
