Connect welcome Mayor of North Tyneside

Connect have celebrated the official opening of their new central office in Newcastle upon Tyne with a visit from the Mayor of North Tyneside and a host of senior healthcare professionals from around the UK.

Representatives from NHS Confederation, the Chief Allied Health Professionals Officers and the General Medical Council were joined by delegates from other companies from across the health spectrum, including city councils, Clinical Commissioning Groups and other independent healthcare providers for a roundtable discussion on the changing landscape of health and social care.

Norma Redfearn, Elected Mayor for North Tyneside, said:

“Many congratulations to Connect Physiotherapy on their official opening. I am delighted to see the company has settled in to its fantastic new headquarters on Quorum Business Park, creating skilled jobs for the region. We look forward to working with Connect in the future as they continue to roll out their ambitious growth plans.”

Prior to the roundtable event, the Mayor had a tour of the office, engaging with Connect staff about the new office.

Andrew Walton, Executive Chair of Connect, was delighted with the outcome of the day.

“Although this event was to celebrate the move to our new offices with the help of North Tyneside Council, we should remember that a business is about more than bricks and mortar; it’s about people. That’s why at Connect we pride ourselves on our investment in our employees, giving them all the support they need to enable them to do their jobs in the best way they can, and this new building is part of that investment.”
