Fat Face creates jobs in St Helens with largest UK outlet
Clothing retailer Fat Face is creating 20 jobs in St Helens with the opening of its largest UK store.
The new branch, in the former Burton unit at Church Square Shopping Centre, is the biggest of the firm’s 218 stores. With 15 jobs already created, Fat Face plans to hire an additional five members of staff in the coming months.
The centre manager, Steven Brogan, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Fat Face to Church Square and the fact that it is now the company’s largest UK store is the icing on the cake.
“We’re getting terrific feedback from customers, particularly those who already like to shop at Fat Face, as they no longer need to travel to stores further afield.”
He added: “It is also great news that so many jobs have been created, with more coming in the next few months, providing a great boost to St Helens.”
Fat Face’s North West area manager, Richard Williams, said he is “really pleased” with the look of the new store, which comprises 6,000 sq ft of retail space.
Richard continued: “The vast majority of our 15-strong team are from St Helens and the surrounding area and we plan to recruit another five employees in the run-up to Christmas so it’s providing a great boost to St Helens.”
