Newcastle firm injects success into £1m pharmacy deal

A North East solicitor is prescribing expert support to a growing number of healthcare clients as he marks the successful purchase of another London pharmacy.

Tim Clarke, partner at Newcastle-based Clarke Mairs LLP, acted for Wole Ososami of Rotamol Ltd - and for NatWest as the lender – in the purchase of Streatham Pharmacy in South West London for more than £1m.

Rotamol Ltd is the latest in a string of clients in the healthcare sector to approach Clarke Mairs for legal representation.

Tim Clarke was recommended to Wole Ososami by Tim’s former clients, South London-based pharmacist Theo Amesimeku and his business partner Chris Fernandez, for whom Tim had completed the purchase of Dulwich Pharmacies – a chain of two independent pharmacies central to the Dulwich community.

Pharmacist Mr Wole Ososami of Rotamol Ltd said: “We know the local area very well and were keen to purchase Streatham Hill Pharmacy as part of our expansion plans. We were becoming a little frustrated with the progress of our lawyers, before some colleagues of ours recommended Tim Clarke.

We were very impressed with his extensive knowledge of our industry and we appreciated that he continually kept us in the loop – we were never left in the dark or felt that we needed to do any chasing. As such, when our colleague was looking for legal support, we did not hesitate to recommend him.”

Tim also recently purchased a Rotherham site on behalf of a pharmacy company.
