West Yorkshire housebuilder invests to up-skill region
Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, which includes both Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, continues to champion its staff - offering excellent career choices and supporting from within as 20 employees receive promotions in the year April 2014 to April 2015.
The news follows a successful year for the region’s largest housebuilder, with sales having increased by a total of 35% over the past two years. As a result Barratt Developments is dedicating time and resource into providing jobs and careers in the construction industry – including opportunities in trade, commercial and technical positions, through offering progression opportunities.
The investment into skills and its employees has seen 20 promotions from across the division this year alone, with these ranging from site level positions at Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ developments, to the technical department and Board of Directors.
Ade Arnold, promoted from Site Manager to Senior Site Manager at Barratt Homes’ Meadow Walk, commented:
“It’s brilliant to go to work every day knowing that your hard work will be recognised; I was thrilled to be promoted to Senior Site Manager last year. Barratt Developments believes in the importance of recognition, so it’s great to see so many of my colleagues progressing within the company too.”
