Hydrodec UK sells Knowsley facility for £685k
Hydrodec (UK) Limited has completed the disposal of its facility in Knowsley, Merseyside, for a six-figure sum.
The firm, a subsidiary of clean-tech industrial oil re-refining group Hydrodec Group plc, disposed of the site’s office premises, plant and assets for £685k to Lancashire-based Mulberry Waste Limited.
Hydrodec Group plc’s chief executive, Ian Smale, said: “Hydrodec UK has responded, and continues to respond to, and operate in, a tough trading environment.
“The disposal of the Knowsley office premises and plant is part of the process of realising operating efficiencies through the transition of the OSS and Eco-Oil businesses under a combined Hydrodec (UK) operating structure and brand.”
He added: “This combined Hydrodec (UK) operating structure will provide the security of feedstock supply which underpins the rationale and longer term strategy for a UK re-refinery.”
With Hydrodec UK operating two North West transfer stations, in Knowsley and Manchester, oil collection processes will now be carried out at the latter.
The deal will also see Mulberry Waste Limited fulfil a commercial agreement to process workshop waste for Hydrodec UK.
