Peterlee training provider acquires new premises
A North East training provider has bought a new commercial premises as part of their ongoing expansion plans.
Profound Group, based in Peterlee, has acquired a new office building on Fern Court, close by to its headquarters in Peterlee Business Park.
The site will allow the company to further progress with growth objectives and development of new training programmes, and will be the fourth premises the company operate from in the East Durham area.
Steven Ward, Chair of Profound Group, said: “As a business grown year on year since 2006, the purchase of our second premises in Peterlee is a significant investment in our learning facilities.
We are committed to be prepared to further meet the government demands for apprenticeships and employer demands for further skills“
The expansion comes as the government pledges to create 3 million apprenticeships by 2020.
Prime Minister David Cameron said: “As a one nation government, we are committed to supporting 3 million quality apprenticeships over the next 5 years – to help strengthen our economy, deliver the skills that employers need and give millions more hardworking people financial security and a brighter future.”
Paul Champion, at Profound Group, said: “We are making improvements so we can have great facilities for our learners. This move will enable us to further achieve our ambitions to become an outstanding provider delivering high quality learning for learners, employers and the local community”
