Echo Factory - Music education at its best!
The British Centre of Music and Enterprise announced today that it will be renamed Echo Factory with immediate effective. The name change is part of a re-branding initiative to better align the Company’s name with its future strategy and near-term product roadmap.
Ajay Naik, founder of Echo Factory states, “The BCME has evolved rapidly over the past few years; initially we set out to create a new style of music industry education after identifying a gap in what was currently being taught. Our Higher Education provision offers young people of today a chance to develop their musical talents and launch longstanding, successful careers by offering specialised and tailored degree courses, everything from music & performance right through to the music business itself. Fortunately due to the rebranding, Echo Factory has now given us the facilities to be able to expand the school even further in to a 360 brand. ‘Echo Factory’ reflects our overarching ethos that learning should be experiential and industry facing. We offer not only world class teaching, but also the opportunity to learn in a real live music venue, housed in our new state of the art building, as well as being part of Echo Factory Record Label! It’s a really exciting time for us and we are looking forward to discovering the talent of tomorrow.”
Based in Leicester’s Cultural Quarter, Echo Factory is a ground breaking new facility built with one purpose – to teach the young music lovers of today how they can shape the music industry of tomorrow. The state-of-the-art building will house a live venue, rehearsal studios (band and individual), song writing labs, a tech suite, class rooms, graduate and industry office space and a café/bar. Echo Factory’s aim is to become THE creative hub in the Midlands.
Offering courses that are specifically focussed on different aspects of the music business, Echo Factory specialises in employing tutors and mentors direct from today’s industry. The results are impressive, giving students the chance to learn directly about the contemporary, global aspects of music, and also offering direct access to placements and career opportunities.
It’s a facility that’s dialled directly into music, both artistically and systemically, to bring a rounded education which rivals the revered likes of BIMM and ACM. The aim is to deliver a life-changing, real-world relevant experience which draws on students’ passion for creativity, collaboration and – most importantly – enjoying music.
Ranging from short courses to three year degrees, Echo Factory also offer special events and Master classes for those looking to boost knowledge in specific sectors of the business. There is even a chance for students to start their own record labels under the tutelage of the school, with the aim of spreading their wings independently when the time is right. It’s a truly unique and rounded opportunity for music lovers to pursue their goals in an industry that’s notoriously difficult to crack.
And (possibly) the best part? No written exams. This is all about practical application of real-world skills, and not regurgitating book learning.
Want to get hands on with the music industry? Echo Factory is the answer!
