Partnership signals New Era for Manchester United
Manchester United have secured a multi-year partnership with New Era, the US-based headware manufacturer.
The deal will see the New York-headquartered hat company create dual-branded headwear geared towards the United’s 659m supporters worldwide.
The club’s group MD, Richard Arnold, said of the partnership: “Manchester United’s success is built on the support of its fans.
“Throughout history, our supporters have pledged their allegiance to United by wearing the club crest and we are delighted to be partnering with New Era to bring fans a fresh approach to the branded headwear available to them.”
He added: “With over 90 years in the industry, New Era is the leading creator of leisure headwear, producing quality products for sports fans all over the world and we are excited to be introducing its products to our loyal fanbase.”
While Buffalo-based New Era’s core product is the 59FIFTY fitted cap, its Manchester united range will include a number of different styles of headwear, including baseball caps, hats, visors, beanies and bobble hats.
The CEO and president of New Era, Christopher H. Koch, commented: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with Manchester United on a global level.
“As New Era continues to expand its international reach, growing our business in world football was a natural progression.”
Christopher continued: “A partnership with such a globally revered club is a great opportunity for us to bring quality headwear to the football market.”
