Sussex family firm celebrates 10 years in business
A professional lawn care business is celebrating its tenth year serving customers across Sussex. Launched in 2005 by Simon Grout, the company is a franchise of one of world’s largest lawn care businesses, TruGreen Professional LawnCare.
Based in West Chiltington, TruGreen Sussex is run by Simon and his son Ryan, who joined the business in 2013 and also serves as an On-Call Firefighter in Guildford. The business provides a customised service to over 300 customers, helping them to achieve green, healthy lawns.
The business achieves its professional status as Simon is certified by the National Proficiency Training Council to apply pesticides and chemicals. TruGreen Sussex is one of 40 TruGreen franchises operating in the UK, which serve nearly 15,000 homes collectively each year.
Simon said: “To reach this milestone is a great achievement and something we are very proud of. The business has grown year-on-year and our focus has always been on customer service. Ryan joining the business has allowed us to offer more services and with two technicians on the books, increase the amount of face-time we have with customers.”
Steve Welch, brand operations manager for TruGreen Professional LawnCare added: “It’s fantastic to celebrate with Simon and Ryan on this achievement. His longevity is testament to his tireless effort and the strength of the TruGreen brand.”
TruGreen is a franchise of ServiceMaster, which is based in Leicestershire and has been franchising for over 55 years in the UK.
