Three North Yorkshire companies relocate to York’s Escrick Park Estate

Three North Yorkshire companies have recently moved to Escrick Park Estate, which has now created more than 130 new and sustainable jobs..

The estate has been owned and managed by the Forbes Adam family for the past 350 years.

Seven redundant farmsteads on the park, east of the A19, have also undergone a £1.4m refurbishment, providing a significant boost to the local economy.

The new occupiers are Joy’s Bella Bridesmaids, Quattro Auto and Silver and Stone, while IMC Toys have extended their business into additional premises on the estate.

Hannah Robinson of Joy’s Bella Bridesmaids, which has taken 1,000 sq ft of quality office space in the Old Granary at Riccall Grange, said: “I chose to open my new business at Riccall Grange as it is ideally situated between York and Selby in a beautiful rural setting.

“We opened earlier this month and Helen Pentith of Escrick Park Estate has been very supportive and guided me through the lettings process as this is my first business venture. The estate has provided all the information I required and have been extremely helpful with all the practical aspects of taking over the lease.”

In addition, IMC Toys, which first moved on to the estate in 2011, have taken an extra 1,500 sq ft at the Menagerie on the estate.

Terry Crew of global toy company IMC Toys added: “The estate is well-run, clean and tidy. Thanks to the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is a beautiful place to work, especially in the summer. The visually impressive offices are great, with plenty of character and ample free parking.

“Our business has grown dramatically over the past four years and we need additional space to preview our products to our customers. Our offices suit us as there is room for expansion and our customers can find us easily as we are close enough to York city centre”.

He continued: “Originally we took 2,000 sq ft and then in 2012 we took an additional 1,100sq ft. As the business continues to prosper, we have now taken an extra 1,500sq ft at 10 Bramleys Barn in the Menagerie”.
