Wellington Street office building undergoes £1.5m refurbishment
Work is now underway on a £1.5m refurbishment of 120 Wellington Street, which is owned by a retained discretionary fund of asset managers, London & Scottish Investments.
The building work, which will produce 18,667 sq ft of Grade A offices on 4 floors of 6,500 sq ft, is scheduled to be completed in March 2016.
The prominent office building located on the northern side of Wellington Street has a gateway location to the West End of Leeds city centre and is opposite the Crowne Plaza hotel.
Nearby office occupiers include HSBC, PWC, Lloyds, Ward Hadaway and Irwin Mitchell.
Adam Cockroft, director of office agency at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “This refurbishment offers a unique opportunity for an occupier to acquire a self-contained headquarters building in a prominent location in Leeds’ popular West End district.
“There is an option to combine fit-out works with refurbishment offering substantial cost savings on the fit-out.”
Richard Thornton, director of office agency at JLL, added: “The level of investment in the building by London & Scottish Investments will completely transform the feel and image of the building which will have high quality finishes throughout.
“Coupled with the prominence of the building, we are very excited about being appointed joint letting agents with Cushman & Wakefield and are already receiving occupier enquiries.”
