Bob Paton: It has been a privilege to lead the North East LEP
Bob Paton’s secondment as the North East Local Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP) interim chief executive has been completed.
The agreed six month part-time contract ended on Monday 12 October.
A respected business leader, Bob will return to his full-time role as head of Accenture’s North East Delivery Centre.
He also holds the position of non-executive chairman at RTC North.
Bob said: “It has been a privilege to lead the North East LEP and help drive forward the strategic economic plan.
“Delivering more and better jobs remains at the heart of all activity and I’m particularly proud of the progress that has been made on innovation and plugging the skills gap. I am equally excited to see the Growth Hub reach its full potential.”
Paul Woolston, chair of the North East LEP, added: “We are extremely grateful to Bob for his hard work and leadership over the last six months.
“Bob has worked tirelessly to drive forward the LEP’s priorities and has further strengthened our links with the business community. We wish him well with his future plans.”
