Commercial property experts are in a celebratory mood

Stokesley based Thomas Stevenson Chartered Surveyors the commercial property specialist is having a year of celebrations in 2015, with two exciting new starters and belated 10th anniversary celebration underway.

Partners Paul Stevenson and Neil Thomas are delighted with the new prospects and direction the business is taking as a result of their hard work over the last ten years.

New partner, Richard Stevenson, has recently joined the business and is focusing his expertise on valuations and advising landlords and tenants in rent negotiations, landlord and tenant partnerships. With over 24 years experience and an on-going relationship with Sainsbury’s Local stores, Richard has strengthened the team and brings with him a strong client list.

Richard says:

“It has been a fantastic opportunity to join Thomas Stevenson. I believe we now have a strong team, which can continue to develop within the commercial property business and build on the businesses already good reputation.”

In addition, Morag Lumb from Guisborough is developing the property management and customer care side of the business, joining as a commercial property manager. Morag will be responsible for over 200 businesses properties that Thomas Stevenson has on its books, managing rent collection, service charges and general administration.

Morag has wealth of customer experience having worked for 28 years in the commercial banking division at NatWest in Stockton.

Morag commented:

“I am thrilled to have joined the company and am excited at the prospect of taking on a very different role. With the numerous contract wins the business has had recently, it will be rewarding to continue to develop the property management side of the business.”

It has been a time for celebration for the business as 2014 was the year it reached its 10th anniversary, but celebrations were delayed until 2015, until the complete team was in position.

This year the business will be undertaking celebrations with all of its clients at a range of business events and are looking to continue the growth of the business with bigger premises in the near future and continued expansion.

Set up in February 2004, Paul and Neil, with over 40 years of commercial property experience between them, have built up the business to operate across the whole of Teesside, County Durham and North Yorkshire, with over 150 properties currently in the process of being marketed for sale, let or available as part of investment and development opportunities.

As the region become buoyant once more, the partners are planning to continue working with all of their existing clients and undertake more property management related work for clients in the future.

Paul says:

“Our tenth birthday is a fantastic milestone to reach and is a testament to the great team we have in place. Expanding this team will only make our offering even more attractive to our potential customers.

Neil added:

“We are planning an informal celebration with the team this year now we have a full complement and will enjoy sharing our good news with all our clients too.”
