Hat Works Café and Bar joins loyalty scheme
The Hat Works Café and Bar on Wellington Road South is the latest business to join Orbit Development’s customer loyalty scheme, the SKOne Card.
The reward card, from Stockport’s leading commercial landlord, has been successfully growing in the last two years,. It puts local businesses in front of 2,000 customers in 12 town centre offices to raise awareness of independent retailers based in Stockport town centre and drive trade and footfall within the area.
The Hat Works Café is a social enterprise run by Age UK Stockport and is separate from the Museum. The café is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4.30pm and anyone is welcome, not just Museum visitors.
Customers in neighbouring Beckwith House and Regent House are set to be first to benefit from a range of offers devised by Hat Works café owner Ian Mullally including 50% off the café’s delicious home-made take away menu on weekdays.
The café aims to be different from others in the area by offering healthy, homemade and locally sourced food and you can expect to see Trove bakery organic bread, Illy coffee and homemade cakes and soup on the menu.
The café can also provide small and medium sized meeting rooms for local businesses, with catering from 2-18 people.
Ian welcomed the opportunity to get involved in the SKone scheme. “It’s the perfect partnership for us. We have started hosting local business networking groups over breakfast and have plenty more to offer. It’s a great space in a fantastic old building with a stunning view of our world famous Stockport viaduct.
“We can cater for private parties, social groups and community activities and we have a licence for evening events so we can stay open until 11pm.”
The café also wants local allotments to get in touch to supply fruit and vegetables for the menu and also promotes local trade by getting beers and soft drinks from Robinsons.
Ian added: “Our menu is made using locally sourced produce, wherever possible, and we are proud to provide a relaxing atmosphere where you can enjoy homemade soups and gourmet sandwiches. We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of healthy options.”
Tony Jones, Managing Director of Orbit Developments said Hat Works Café and Bar was exactly the kind of business that he wanted to showcase to his customers via SKone.
“Through the scheme our customers get to know about a quality café offering healthy food options along with additional meeting room space all within a historic and famous venue on their doorstep and the Café raises awareness of their offering to businesses located nearby. We wish them every success.”
