Woking Shopping welcomes tenth brand in 12 months
Woking Shopping has announced Smiggle, a stationery and accessories brand, will be its tenth retailer to open in the centre over the last year.
The company is set to open an 807 sq ft store within the Peacocks, located within Town Mall, in November.
The Australians brand has seen considerable growth over the past two years, establishing 32 stores at leading retail destinations across the UK with a further eight to open before Christmas, including at Woking Shopping.
Smiggle adds to a growing number of aspirational retail and dining brands that have joined Woking Shopping over the last 12 months, including Fat Face, Bill’s Restaurant, Las Iguanas, Carluccio’s, Ed’s Easy Diner, Carphone Warehouse, Montezuma, and Suit Room.
The year has also seen the opening of the prestigious Tante Marie Cooking Academy on Commercial Way.
Commenting on the addition of Smiggle and other brands to Woking, Tim Buckley of Moyallen, asset manager of the Peacocks, said: “Smiggle is a vibrant brand that will bring something new to Woking Shopping’s retail offer. The arrival of Smiggle, plus the wealth of other new brands at Woking over the past 12 months, shows how much confidence leading brands have in Woking Shopping, underlying its real sense of momentum.”
Managing Director of Smiggle, John Cheston, added: “We are delighted to be opening a store amongst very good company at Woking Shopping. The number of other great brands joining the destination was an encouraging factor to us in taking a store there and it is exciting to be part of such a thriving location.”
Nash Bond and JLL acted for Woking Shopping. Harper Dennis Hobbs and MMX Retail represented Smiggle.
