Keepmoat builds on success with key appointment
Former Westminster housing and property chief, Ben Denton has joined community regeneration and housebuilding specialist, Keepmoat, as Group Strategy and Business Development Director, tasked with driving the firm’s expansion plans after a record year.
Ben’s appointment follows the announcement that Keepmoat recently surpassed the £1bn turnover milestone. In this new role he will be developing strategy across the firm’s Homes and Regeneration divisions, focussing on progressing new - and strengthening existing – partnerships to fuel further growth.
Ben, who is a qualified surveyor, has an extensive background in leading regeneration schemes, after starting his career at Hillier Parker. He also worked for KPMG, fielding major PFI developments and even went on to set up his own company (ABROS) which advised on significant PPP and PFI projects.
Ben now joins Keepmoat after four commended years at Westminster City Council, where his most recent position was Executive Director for Growth, Planning and Housing.
Commenting on his new role, Ben said: “I’m joining Keepmoat at a really exciting time for the business. After consecutive contract wins and the effective implementation of a southern region for the homes division, there is real scope to build on the company’s success and help grow Keepmoat in existing and new markets.
“My passion lies in creating great places for people to live, work and play. Keepmoat’s unique offering of regenerating the existing as well as creating the new, working on a collaborative basis, makes it an incredibly attractive sell for our public and private sector partners.”
Dave Sheridan, Chief Executive at Keepmoat said: “From inception to delivery, Ben has an unrivalled knowledge of regeneration projects which have delivered. His work in the public sector will be of real value to us as we strive to develop further partnerships with local authorities and make a real difference in key communities across the UK. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”
