Omlis Announce ISO 9001:2008 Certification

Already globally recognized as pioneers in enabling high integrity security technologies specifically developed to secure the mobile state, Omlis today announced receipt of their ISO 9001:2008 certification, demonstrating their commitment to creating and maintaining quality management systems that ensure consistency, visibility and accountability across their business operations while providing a robust infrastructure to support their immense growth.

Assisted by Helen Short, Senior Consultant at leading North East based Absolute Quality Consultancy and Training Ltd, Omlis achieved ISO 9001 certification. ISO 9001:2008 is a quality management standard regulated by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) that demonstrates an organization’s commitment to continuous improvement across key areas of their business including: facilities, people, training, services and equipment, and providing a business-wide blueprint for operations management.

To achieve ISO 9001:2008 recognition, the ambitious young start-up completed a rigorous review of its processes, documents and manuals and the audit demonstrated total conformity. Led by Jayne Nixon, Operations Manager at Omlis, new policies and practices were developed and implemented across the organization. This implementation is also supported by training for all staff, with departmental champions acting as contact points for each team as part of the ongoing review and improvement process.

For Omlis, their ISO 9001:2008 certification forms part of their corporate strategy to deliver excellence across all business functions. As pioneers of high integrity development processes for enabling security technologies, this certification identifies Omlis as a new breed of start-up focused on consistently delivering quality and excellence for every customer, stakeholder and organizational touch point.

Jayne Nixon, Operations Manager at Omlis said, “Achieving ISO certification is a landmark occasion for Omlis and is testament to our hard work and commitment in delivering quality across all areas of our organization.”

Mrs. Nixon also commented that “Not only did we pass an extensive two day audit without a single minor or major non-conformance issue, we also completed our new system implementation in half the recommended timeframe which is exceptional and something we are immensely proud of.”

Q3 2015 has proved a significant period in for Omlis. Alongside the successful certification of ISO 9001:2008 and the announcement of a partnership agreement with Digital Pathways, a leading provider of data security and leakage prevention services in the UK, September 2015 also saw the launch of the Omlis Secure Enterprise Messenger (SEM) encryption technology in partnership with IBM and accessible to mobile application developers from the IBM Cloud Marketplace. The success of this product is based on its ability to fully protect mobile applications by providing them with uniquely encrypted channels that secure the exchange of data to and from a mobile device.

The past 18 months has seen Omlis experience explosive growth both internally and externally. As well as attracting over 15 world class partners across Europe, the Middle East, South America and the United States. including: IBM, Stratus Technologies and Stratus Technologies Mexico. The company has also grown its full-time workforce from two to over 50 employees.
