Gregory Property granted approval for East Leeds Enterprise Zone scheme
Gregory Property Group has secured planning permission to develop a 2.1 acre site for industrial/distribution use within the Leeds City Region Enterprise Zone on the East Leeds Link Road (A63).
Plans for Link 45 include a high quality 39,375 sq. ft. warehouse/factory with offices, yard and parking provision within a self-contained site on Thornes Farm Way, close to Junction 45 of the M1.
Richard Tovey, director at Gregory Property Group, said: “We are delighted to secured planning approval to progress this site in a location which has become a hot spot for industrial and distribution occupiers, not least because of the enterprise zone incentives.”
The Leeds City Region Enterprise Zone covers 142 hectares of development land with four sites strategically located along the route of the £32m East Leeds Link Road.
All four sites – Thornes Farm, Newmarket Lane, Logic Leeds and Temple Green – are already under development for employment uses including large-scale manufacturing, distribution and high quality offices.
Companies locating within the enterprise zone will receive a range of incentives including reduced business rates, worth up to £275k over a five year period, grant support through the Leeds City Region Business Growth Programme, simplified planning, plus a bespoke package of recruitment and business support.
Link 45 is located next to Scottish Motor Auctions, north of the A63 running from Leeds city centre to the M1 and has direct access to the city centre approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) to the east.
Link 45 is to be offered for sale or to let. AWS and the Leeds office of Bilfinger GVA are appointed to market the development.
