Boroughbridge shredder business expands senior management team
Boroughbridge-based industrial shredding specialist UNTHA UK has expanded its senior management team with the appointment of experienced engineer Roger Draper.
With a 35 year career under his belt, he joins the company as Head of After Sales. This role will see him take the lead on all new projects, as soon as a client order has been confirmed, to ensure the streamlined, efficient and high quality delivery of contracts. He will also manage the ongoing service and maintenance of existing clients’ shredders and will direct the coordination of plant shutdowns on customers’ sites.
Having worked in the coal industry for 19 years, progressing to senior management roles with organisations such as British Coal, Roger has also looked after top tier COMAH sites. Most recently he was chief engineer for hazardous waste management specialist Tradebe.
He brings a wealth of knowledge to this newly created role. Elaborating on his reasons for joining the company, Roger said: “I was particularly attracted to this position, because of the scope to drive further progress within a progressive company, in an emerging market.
“I hope my project management, scheduling, and extensive service and maintenance expertise, will stand me in good stead to strengthen the robustness of UNTHA UK’s after sales department. I’m also looking forward to further developing the skills of existing employees, as I recognise there is a lot of talent to work with.”
Commenting on this newest addition to the team, UNTHA UK’s managing director Chris Oldfield said: “Roger’s appointment is crucial to our continued evolution as a business, and will prove a key factor in us ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction, especially as we secure ever-larger -projects.
“As well as being a highly qualified man, Roger has a very personable and approachable character. These are important qualities for someone in a management role, especially at UNTHA UK. He is also a very practical engineer who isn’t afraid to roll his sleeves up, so we’re sure he’ll fit right in!”
